Become part of our team in Attendorn as a Strategic Assistant to the COO – Global Operations (all genders) and work directly on the further development of our global Operations organization.

 

In this demanding position, you will work closely with the Group COO and support him in strategic, operational, and organizational matters. You will take on your own topics and projects, analyze complex issues, and develop concrete recommendations for action. You will work with leaders at all levels, across countries and organizational boundaries. Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic and substantive support for the Group COO in leading and developing the global Operations organization
  • Independent processing and management of strategic projects and management topics with high visibility within the organization
  • Analysis of complex issues in the areas of production, supply chain, performance management, operational excellence, and organization
  • Development of structured options for action, decision templates, and recommendations for the COO and management
  • Support in the further development of the global operating model and collaboration between Global Operations, regions, and plants
  • Close cooperation with Regional COOs, plant managers, and international executives
  • Independent coordination and follow-up of initiatives across hierarchical, functional, and national boundaries
  • Preparation and execution of management meetings, operations reviews, workshops, and international events
  • Creation and coordination of documents for the Executive Board, Supervisory Board, and other management committees
  • Preparation and interpretation of key figures as well as development of management reports and decision-making bases
  • Identification of improvement potentials and support in the development of new processes, methods, and control instruments
  • Taking on selected special projects and strategic initiatives of the COO
  • Ensuring consistent follow-up of decisions and measures – from decision to implementation

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Successfully completed technical or business university degree, ideally with very good results
  • Initial relevant professional experience in strategy consulting, management consulting, operations, production, supply chain, operational excellence, project management, or a comparable industrial environment
  • Experience in the structured analysis of complex issues and the development of management-oriented recommendations for action
  • Strong understanding of operational contexts and industrial value creation
  • Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with new topics and reduce complex issues to the crucial core points
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as a pronounced implementation orientation
  • Confident demeanor, very good communication and presentation skills – even towards experienced executives
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, SAP knowledge and ideally experience with Power BI
  • High level of initiative, commitment, and a hands-on mentality
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
  • High personal integrity and a strong awareness of confidentiality and handling sensitive management topics
  • Very good German and English skills (C2 level) and enjoyment of working in an international environment, as well as willingness to undertake international business trips
