JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic professional to join our team as the Director of Strategy.  In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the overall strategic direction of the North American organization. This role will help Viega LLC achieve our aggressive growth targets by promoting data-driven decision making across all areas of the business, providing strategic  guidance to our Executive Leadership Team, being accountable for both defining and executing critical initiatives, and supporting long-term planning. You will report directly into the CEO and focus on developing the next 5-year strategy cycle.   

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Team Leadership:

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing strategy office, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Develop the skills and capabilities of team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to contribute to the organization's strategic objectives.

Consulting Expertise:

• Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, offering insights and recommendations based on industry best practices and market intelligence.
• Provide guidance on business development opportunities and potential partnerships.
• Leverage your extensive consulting background to drive the development and implementation of high-impact, data-driven strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership to assess business challenges, identify opportunities, and formulate actionable strategies.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies

Analytical Excellence:

• Utilize advanced analytics and data-driven insights to identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities.
• Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
• Conduct thorough analysis of industry and market dynamics to inform strategic planning.

Executive Team Support:

• Serve as thought partner for our CEO and Executive Leadership Team to ensure that we are taking the right decisions and at the right time.
• Create cadence and structure for VLLC ensuring that the executive team is prepared and planning for the future.
• Build board presentations to provide critical updates on the state of the business at Viega LLC.
• Work closely with our Global Strategy team to apply best practices from North America across the globe.
• Synthesize content from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

• Proven track record of success in strategic consulting roles, with experience at a senior level.
• Master’s degree in business administration required
• 6-8 years in a strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy role(s)
• Experience working in highly cross-functional and/or international organizations
• Experience with corporate sustainability / social responsibility programs preferred

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation

• Base: $138,000 to $196,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
• Bonus or Commission: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
