Inside Sales Specialist Overview
In the sales role, the journey begins with learning the foundation of Viegas’ heritage, service offering(s) and best-in-class product portfolio.  As an Inside Sales Specialist you will be located with peers at the North American headquarters near Denver, Colorado but aligned to a specific field territory.  This alignment is essential to prepare you for your next step in an outside sales position.  

 

This role will participate in the Accelerated Development Program, consisting of a structured series of training seminars, most notably hands-on product training.  Additionally, you will travel to various parts of the country and observe outside sales managers partnering with Viega customers.  While learning and developing under the guidance of an assigned mentor in this entry level sales role, you will be accountable for developing new sales opportunities and generating qualified leads.  Developing strong orientation for understanding a customer’s needs to ensure the successful achievement of the company’s objectives will be critical. The reward for successfully completing the program results in a promotion to the field based, District Sales Manager position. 

 

When a District Sales Manager role opens, the organization first looks to promote those who’ve successfully completed the Accelerated Development Program and has demonstrated performance metric achievement.  The duration of time in the program depends on field sales availability and evaluation of individual KPI achievement.  Typically, 18-24 months and a relocation are required.  
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
This fast paced, exciting environment necessitates clear progression in the following areas:
•    KPI achievement 
•    Developing new sales opportunities through lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and e-mails
•    Understand customer needs and requirements
•    Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate team member for further development and closure
•    Achievement of quarterly objectives
•    Efficient research efforts to identify new customers and generate interest in Viega product and services
•    Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory
•    Collaboration with outside sales to build pipelines

 

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
•    High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
•    Previous customer service and/or sales skills preferred
•    Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
•    Ambition to develop strong and sustainable relationships 
•    Must be willing to relocate within 24 months
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
