Job Description Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, systems-savvy Manager of Product Data Services to lead a cross-functional team responsible for enabling and supporting the full lifecycle of our products—from data and documentation to labeling, packaging, and end-of-life governance. This role will ensure product information is accurate, accessible, and actionable across internal systems and customer-facing touchpoints.
You will work closely with product management, marketing, operations, and supply chain to streamline the way products are created, maintained, and sunsetted—ensuring operational excellence and compliance at every step. You will be a liaison to global and represents regional needs in global organization. As a leader in the unit, you will drive tactical and project development with an eye towards achieving strategic goals, while representing the voice of the team into leadership.
What You'll Do:
Strategy & Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Product Services team, overseeing key functions: technical literature, master data management, labeling & packaging, and product and end-of-life processes.
- Establish scalable workflows and processes to support new product introductions (NPIs), product changes, and phase-outs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align processes and tools across departments (e.g., product, IT, quality, regulatory, marketing).
Master Data & Systems Governance
- Own the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of product data across ERP, PIM, and other internal systems.
- Implement quality control protocols and change management procedures for item creation and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with naming conventions, attributes, and regulatory data (e.g., UL, NSF, RoHS if applicable).
Labeling, Packaging & Documentation
- Oversee the development, review, and standardization of packaging specs and product labeling in coordination with supply chain and compliance.
- Ensure technical literature (installation guides, spec sheets, instructions) is up-to-date, user-friendly, and accessible across channels.
- Drive continuous improvement in how product information is delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
End-of-Life (EOL) Governance
- Manage product sunset planning and execution, including internal communication and coordination, customer notification coordination, scrapping and data updates.
- Minimize operational disruptions by ensuring EOL processes are structured, well-documented, and coordinated.
Communication
- Provide updates and communications between cross-functional departments when manufacturing new products; ensures all information is up-to-date and available upon request

- Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SAP, Adobe
- Deep familiarity with ERP and PIM systems and product data governance
- Knowledge of new item creation processes, bills of material, routings and work center structure

- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or regulated product environment (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electrical, building materials) a plus
- Familiarity with change control systems and product lifecycle management (PLM) tool a plus
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelors or Associates Degree, preferred
- 5–8 years of experience in product operations, data management, technical documentation, or a similar cross-functional product support role
- 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills with a continuous improvement mindset

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $109,500 to $155,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
