National Accounts Manager - Retail

Job Description Summary
The National Accounts Manager will serve as the strategic lead and primary point of contact for all aspects of the Home Depot account. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing day-to-day business operations, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring Viega’s continued success and presence across Home Depot’s channels, including in-store, online, and Pro Channels.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Account Management
- Own and manage the long-term strategic relationship with Home Depot across all channels.
- Develop and execute an annual joint business plan (JBP), aligning on sales targets, promotions, and growth initiatives.
- Serve as the internal voice of the customer, advocating for Home Depot’s needs across Viega’s product, marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams.
Sales & Business Growth
- Drive top- and bottom-line revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within the account.
- Lead planning and execution of line reviews, product launches, and promotional strategies.
- Track and analyze POS data, inventory performance, and forecasting metrics to inform business decisions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with internal stakeholders (marketing, operations, finance, supply chain) to deliver best-in-class support and execution for Home Depot.
- Ensure alignment on pricing, product availability, packaging, and promotional compliance.
E-Commerce & Omni-Channel
- Manage and optimize Viega’s product presence on HomeDepot.com, ensuring accurate content, strong SEO, and digital merchandising performance.
- Collaborate on ratings & reviews strategy, content enhancements, and online product visibility.
Operational Excellence
- Lead internal coordination on order flow, fulfillment accuracy, backorder resolution, and vendor compliance.
- Manage scorecard performance and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet, SAP
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing national or large-format retail accounts, preferably with The Home Depot or in the building materials/hardlines industry
- Proven success in building strong customer relationships and growing retail businesses
- Experience with retail data platforms (e.g., Retail Link, IDM, POL) and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with a strong bias for action and problem-solving
- Travel required up to 10-20%
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- Experience with HomeDepot.com merchandising and content management tools
- Knowledge of plumbing, piping, or construction-related products
- Familiarity with vendor compliance, supply chain planning, and retail logistics

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $89,000 to $122,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
