Job Description Summary

The Sales Controlling Data Analyst II is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. This role analyzes internal and external data to identify trends, optimize sales reporting, and support sales strategies and pricing initiatives. Additionally, the analyst prepares and maintains the monthly financial forecast to align with overall business objectives.

PowerBI Development

  • Designs and develops interactive dashboards and reports
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand data needs
  • Analyzes datasets to uncover trends and insights
  • Maintains data accuracy and integrity within BI systems
  • Translates business requirements into technical specifications
  • Supports database management, including design, develop, and test methods for data capture, conversion, scrubbing and integration among the Company's systems. Filter and clean data, review reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Improves and streamlines processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve accuracy, viability and value to the overall business needs.
  • Provides oversight for system testing, support and quality assurance.
  • Develops policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
  • Cooperates with our IT department to deploy software and hardware upgrades that make it possible for us to leverage big data use cases
  • Monitors analytics and metrics results
  • Implements new data analysis methodologies

Reporting

  • Generates standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, sales, marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Synthesizes current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
  • Collects business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
  • Develops the automation of recurring reports and support ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Provides project management, development and support for Business Intelligence 

Forecasting

  • Prepares monthly forecast to support normal sales volume, new product launches, special promotions using historical data, consumer trends, and marketing/sales input

Training and Support

  • Proactively develops, coordinates, conducts and/or provides training for users as needed

Other

  • Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time

Required Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, SQL, and Business Warehouse
  • Expert-level regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. Experience with statistical and computer programming languages, such as SQL. Advanced functions and macro coding, Power BI, Power Query and Power Pivot
  • Data analytics proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques
  • Critical thinking for effective problem-solving
  • Ability to apply a strong financial business knowledge in the day-to-day activities
  • Proficient with query and reporting analysis tools
  • Familiarity with internet solutions and relational database concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to analyze, model and interpret complex data using statistical techniques, Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, methodical and logical approach to all tasks and project
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a cross functional environment
  • Ability to use logic and insight to solve difficult problems and create effective solutions
  • Effectively operate within a multi-tasking environment
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills and a self-starter approach

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other related field required
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
  • Industry experience preferred

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation

  • Base: $71,300 to $92,700 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
