Strategy Analyst

Position Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic professional to join our team as a Strategy Analyst. In this pivotal role, you will be helping to shape and drive the overall strategic direction of the North American organization. This role will help Viega LLC achieve its rapid growth targets by promoting data-driven decision making across all areas of the business, providing strategic guidance together with the Strategy team to our Executive Leadership Team, helping to both define and execute critical initiatives, and supporting long-term planning. This role will report directly into the Director of Strategy and focus on developing the next 10-year strategy cycle as well as the specific underlying 3-year action plan.   

 

Position Details:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program and project management frameworks BU strategy (Viega LLC 2035) to drive strategic initiatives incl. monitoring / controlling (1,000-Day Plan) by supporting the creation of processes, tools, and best practices. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability and readiness to fully step into project execution and implementation and actively drive initiatives once frameworks are established.
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert in market demand modeling, leading the development and implementation of advance analytical models to forecast market trends, monitor competitive behavior dynamics and derive implications for Viega (BU) strategic positioning within the Market
  • Helping to build a data-driven market intelligence function to foster decision-making process based on analytics and data (i.e., bottom-up market model & -sizing)
  • Coordination of competitive as well as M&A analysis activities in liaison with the Director, Strategy. This might include helping with local M&A case evaluation / project support (i.e., investment rationale, local commercial, environmental, legal, technical Due Diligence)
  • Demonstrate a strong analytical approach by leveraging data-driven insights, sound judgment, and personal credibility to influence decision-making and drive impactful outcomes. This role requires the ability to integrate factual analysis with strategic thinking to develop robust analytical frameworks that support business objectives and foster trust across stakeholders
  • Act in direct support of, and as a sparring partner for, Director, Strategy
  • Collaborate and coordinate with our Global Strategy team to apply best practices 
  • Synthesize content from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Work effectively with diverse teams and across hierarchy levels to come up with the best solution and move people within the organizations to act
  • Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner
  • Will be required to travel partially

 

Education, Qualifications & Work Experience:

  •  Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field required, Master’s degree is desirable.
  • Professional Experience
    • 2 – 4 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy roles.
    • Experience working in highly cross-functional and/or international organizations.
  • Technical Skills
    • Exceptional analytical skills (XLS, Tableau) with the ability to construct sophisticated models.
    • Proficiency in processing data, conducting analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports.
    • Experience in crafting and developing proposal-ready materials, including external-facing customer presentations.
  • Project Management & Organizational Skills
    • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and project management capabilities.
  • Personal Attributes
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments.

 

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation

  • Base: $71,000.00 to $97,000.00 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
