Job Description

The Compensation Analyst is key in supporting the Total Rewards team in the ongoing implementation, administration and optimization of all elements, including compensation, employee recognition program and people and data analytics for the US and Canada.   This role will partner extensively with the People Business Partners, People Centers of Excellence, and business leaders throughout the organization.  This role will have the opportunity to make recommendations that drive the compensation strategies to align with the Viega LLC vision and philosophy.  Key activities include, compensation program management, compensation data integrity and analysis, job evaluation, and benchmarking.  This role will also be responsible for our employee recognition program and people data and analytics.  This role will also require partnership with our Global Viega HR team outside of the US.    

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and recommendations to People Business Partners and business leaders to ensure consistent application of compensation and global mobility guidelines and practices.

• Ongoing data management within ADP and SuccessFactors, management reporting, and people analytics for more than just compensation

• Coordination of annual compensation survey participation and follow-on activities

• Participate in the annual planning, execution and review of merit and bonus programs

• Reviews and recommends proposed compensation and role matching for new and internal role changes

• Respond to ad‐hoc reporting and analysis requests from various stakeholders across the business (HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Accounting, etc.)

• Periodic audits of ADP and SuccessFactors compensation module ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting

• Point of contact for payroll team to resolve issues related to team member compensation

• Partner with HRIS and IT for systems pieces related to role responsibilities

• Partner with other HR and leadership stakeholders on various projects, including career – pathing on a broad scale and pay philosophy initiatives

• Opportunity to project manage, implement,  and provide input into a new employee recognition program for Viega US and Canada.  Once implemented this role will maintain this program.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 7+  years of relevant compensation experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, mathematics, economics, accounting or business degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

• Working knowledge of FLSA and other state/local labor laws

• Working knowledge of visa and inpat/expat assignments

• Thorough understanding of the principles of total rewards.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to show a wide variety of high level and detailed reporting

• Vendor management experience

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft application Excel including pivot tables, vlookups, macros and advanced formulas

• Experience with prior HRIS system for compensation, ADP and SuccessFactors preferred

• Keen attention to detail and desire to solve problems at the root

• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently

• Ability to handle multiple areas of work and prioritize effectively

• Excellent project management skills; prioritize, track and drive concurrent projects and responsibilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong customer service approach.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with job architecture programs and sales incentive compensation

• Working knowledge of ADP and SuccessFactors

• Demonstrated ability for change management and communication across diverse stakeholder groups

• Prior experience with employee recognition programs

 

For CO, NY, CA and WA residents, the salary range for this position is $86,000 to $140,000/year. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
