JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Financial Sales Controlling Analyst is responsible for managing sales analysis for all sales levels including verticals, territory, regional and district levels.  Gathering, interpreting data and formulating high level reporting & making recommendations on those findings. Maintain sales driven forecasts and developing tools to track countermeasures when sales gaps are identified.  Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, administrative support with contract management, tracking and forecasting of sales incentive plans and resource management.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Driving New and Existing Business
•    Performs in-depth, quantitative and qualitative analysis of sales data to identify trends, measure performance, and improve our understanding of the business. 
•    Manage the monthly reporting of key performance indicators in a user-friendly format for Sales & Marketing leadership team.
•    Build dashboards, create reports and analyze sales data to provide support for customer sales, regional sales and overall sales force ensuring accurate operational reporting.  
•    Takes the lead with the field sales to support pipelines and forecasting
•    Assists with questions regarding sales performance, deviations from forecast, potential counter-measures, pricing, and pipeline management to help drive sales results
•    Promoting effective communications with finance and cross-functional teams including but not limited to sales, marketing, operations and IT.
•    Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, sales, marketing and other stakeholders.
•    Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
•    Provide project management, development and support for Business Intelligence and CRM related improvements.

 

Administrative
•    Supports sales contract and program management of rebate offerings to contractors, builders and wholesale distribution.
•    Resource tracking (headcount) for field sales with collaboration of human resources
•    Staying up to date with company policies, procedures and products.
•    Sharing your technical knowledge to train colleagues and new starters.

 

Other
•    Complete ad hoc projects as required
•    Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
•    Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
•    May be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
•    Complies with all safety guidelines.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•    Knowledge and familiarity of computer programs including the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel. SAP and Business Warehouse 
•    Highly personable and positive with excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
•    Proficient with query and reporting analysis tools, with familiarity of cloud based solutions and relational database concepts
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•    Highly organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills
•    Ability to work independently and as a team member in a cross functional environment
•    Ability to use logic and insight to solve problems and create effective solutions
•    Ability to understand and meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
•    Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with; always going above and beyond to help others out, regardless of their position or department.
•    Organized and capable multi-tasker and self-starter

 

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

•    Bachelor's Degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field required
•    3-5+ years of relevant work experience required
•    Industry experience strongly encouraged, CPG background a plus
•    Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
