Job Description Summary

Responsible for preparation of management reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, and budgeting to support Operations and Profitability goals. Ensure clarity and consistency in financial and non-financial results so that effective business decisions can be made efficiently.

 

Job Description Details

  • Collaborate with functional departments across the company to build and/or enhance reporting and analysis used for annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and various financial models that deliver meaningful insights into business
  • Build financial and operational dashboards reporting on metrics to drive management decisions
  • Act as a resource for departments on transactional inquiries and financial/budgetary questions that require problem-solving and analytic capability, meeting with department heads to review and discuss forecasts and risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
  • Develop reports focused on key drivers and assumptions (economic framing, modelling of business opportunities, and financial review), collaborate and challenge all decisions reaching P&L owner, and create opportunities to increase business value
  • Deliver transformative financial analysis and insights into business performance, drive accountability and profitable action through financial analysis (monthly financial statement review, forecast process, trend analysis for opportunity identification), and eliminate unprofitable activity across the team and business
  • Partner with business operations leader to originate, challenge and execute key strategies ensuring they represent financial reality and drive toward delivering a superior return

 

 

Required Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • SAP and Analysis for Office, Microsoft BI, SAC experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills (forecasting, trending, economic feasibility, profitability analysis, budgeting)
  • Solid interpersonal skills and can work well with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to analyze moderately difficult to complex financial issues, draw conclusions based on analysis and recommend alternative solutions
  • Ability to prepare clean, concise, and comprehensive financial analyses and presentation materials
  • Support initiatives to maintain data integrity and resolve data discrepancies and drive solutions in enhancing accuracy of financial reporting

 

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 1-5 years of related work experience in FP&A or other business analysis; preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment

 

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
