The Manager, Competence Center Collaboration leads a globally distributed IT team responsible for the strategic alignment, development, delivery, operation, support, and continuous improvement of Viega's Collaboration landscape. This role serves as a key technology partner to all business areas and stakeholders, ensuring that Collaboration systems and applications maximize business value, achieve operational excellence, drive innovation, and are reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.
The Manager, Competence Center Collaboration provides end-to-end leadership across the application lifecycle, from requirements and implementation through ongoing operations, enhancements, and support. The position oversees systems and platforms supporting Collaboration solutions, which may include M365, Atlassian, and related applications and integrations.
This role balances strategic partnership, project delivery, and operational ownership while leading and developing a high-performing international team.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap
- Define and continuously evolve Viega’s Collaboration strategy and roadmap in close alignment with corporate and IT
- Identify innovation potential and evaluate new Collaboration solutions to enhance business and cost efficiency as well as competitiveness
- Define and enforce Collaboration standards, best practices, and governance guidelines in close alignment with the IT Process Owner
- Launch and develop the Collaboration Community
Budget & Resource Management
- Responsible for the planning, control, and monitoring of the budget for the Collaboration Competence Center
- Efficient allocation of internal and external resources to ensure project and operational goals are met
People & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop employees within the Collaboration Competence Center
- Build and foster strong Collaboration expertise and an innovation culture within the team
- Responsible for recruiting, performance management, and career development of team members
Operational Excellence & System Stability
- Ensure smooth operation, stability, performance, and security of the entire Collaboration system landscape
- Coordinate incident, problem, and change management processes within the Collaboration context
Project & Portfolio Management
- Governance function within the major Collaboration projects to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in business departments and C-level management
- Manage relationships with external service providers, system integrators, and Collaboration itself
Other Duties and Logistical Requirements
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Will be required to attend occasional, local off-site meetings and, as needed, operate a motor vehicle for business purposes. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.

What We're Looking For:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications and the delivery, operation, and support of business-critical Collaboration technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of the full application lifecycle for Collaboration solutions, including implementation, integration, deployment, production support, incident management, change management, enhancements, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical or application-focused teams responsible for both project delivery and ongoing system operations within the Collaboration landscape.
- Strong business partnership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical Collaboration technology solutions.
- Experience leading or supporting complex system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and transformation initiatives within the Collaboration domain.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees across geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to work effectively within a global and multicultural organization and collaborate across functions, countries, and time zones.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing operational issues, projects, stakeholder expectations, and longer-term objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships across IT, business functions, vendors, and external partners.
- Strong focus on customer service, operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field required. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
- 7–10 years of related IT experience supporting enterprise business applications.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical, application, or IT delivery teams.
- Demonstrated experience scoping, planning, and leading technical and cross-functional projects.
- Experience with Collaboration technology platforms such as M365 (Microsoft 365), advanced Communication solutions, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), or comparable enterprise systems preferred.
- Experience working within a global organization and leading or collaborating with international teams preferred.
- Experience managing the transition of newly implemented technology solutions from project delivery into ongoing operational ownership preferred.
- Master's degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $34,000 - $174,000 hourly, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
