Job Description Summary

The Sales Excellence Data Intern will support the Sales Excellence team by assisting with reporting, dashboard development, and data analysis activities. This role provides hands-on experience working with business stakeholders and analytics tools to help improve reporting, data quality, and decision-making across the organization. 

The intern will work under the guidance of experienced analysts and managers to learn how business requirements are translated into reporting solutions. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in building and enhancing dashboards and reports using modern BI tools to support business teams. 

  • Support data preparation activities for reporting and analysis. 

  • Help gather and document business requirements for reporting needs. 

  • Collaborate with Sales Excellence and IT team members to validate data accuracy and consistency. 

  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure reports are reliable. 

  • Assist with testing dashboards and reports prior to release. 

  • Help document reporting logic, definitions, and best practices. 

  • Support training materials or basic user guides for reports and dashboards. 

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and basic insights for business stakeholders.

  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

 

What We're Looking For:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Foundational understanding of data concepts (e.g., tables, fields, relationships) or strong interest in learning data modeling principles 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and data organization; familiarity with other Microsoft Office products 

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet assigned project milestones with guidance  

  • Alignment with company values 

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience  

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field 

  • Exposure to SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools through coursework, projects, or internships preferred 

  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools is a plus but not required 

  • Familiarity with sales processes a plus

Total Rewards Package:  

Compensation 

  • Base: $21.00 - $25.00 hourly, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
