Job Summary
The Social Media Strategist is responsible for developing and executing Viega’s social media strategy across North America, using social channels to build brand awareness, strengthen audience engagement and bring Viega’s people, products and expertise to life. This position develops audience-focused social strategies, create compelling content and build thought leadership programs that elevate Viega’s expertise and industry presence. Partners with internal subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to uncover relevant stories, perspectives and opportunities that connect with Viega’s audiences
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes Viega’s North American social media strategy, establishing audience, channel, content and engagement strategies aligned with business and marketing priorities.
- Develops strategies to grow and engage Viega’s priority audiences across relevant social channels.
- Develops and executes social thought leadership programs that strengthen Viega’s industry presence and showcase internal expertise.
- Identifies and partners with internal subject matter experts to uncover perspectives, stories and expertise and translate them into authentic social content.
- Coaches and supports subject matter experts and leaders in building their social presence and effectively engaging professional audiences.
- Creates engaging social-first content, including copy, photography, interviews and short-form video.
- Owns and manages Viega’s integrated social media calendar, balancing always-on content with campaigns, product initiatives, events and emerging opportunities.
- Partners with Campaign Marketing to develop social strategies and content supporting integrated brand, segment and product campaigns.
- Leads Viega’s influencer and creator marketing efforts, including identifying partners, developing activations and measuring performance.
- Uses social listening, audience insights and industry trends to identify relevant conversations, content opportunities and emerging trends.
- Builds and engages Viega’s social communities through proactive interaction with customers, industry organizations and partners.
- Establishes and tracks social media KPIs, translating performance data into insights and recommendations to continuously improve strategy and content.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or a related field required.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in social media, digital marketing, content marketing or related fields required.
- Prior experience developing and executing B2B social media strategies required.
- Prior experience developing social thought leadership and content in partnership with executives or subject matter experts required.
- Prior experience managing integrated social media calendars and developing social content supporting brand, segment and product campaigns required.
- Prior experience using social listening, social media management and analytics tools to inform strategy required.
- Prior experience developing influencer or creator marketing programs preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, engineering or other technical B2B industries preferred.
- Prior experience leveraging AI and modern marketing tools to improve content development and efficiency preferred.
Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $92,000 to $120,000 USD annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
