JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Project & Strategy Manager serves as a strategic project manager for the Customer Organization; driving the successful execution of cross-functional initiatives aligned with Corporate Strategy and Company priorities. Serving as a trusted partner to Senior Leaders, this role drives strategic alignment, cross-functional or functional execution, and operational excellence by managing high-priority programs, improving processes, and ensuring delivery against defined outcomes.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Project Management 

  • Enable and drive execution of large, high-priority, and complex cross-functional programs and initiatives from initiation through completion.
  • Creates cadence and structure to ensure critical projects are lead with rigor and diligence 
  • Aligns with the project sponsor and department leadership to determine project scope and requirements
  • Develops detailed project plans, project budget, charter, to-do lists and timelines, and proactively address issues to ensure successful outcomes
  • Utilizes departmental templates and follows established project management methodologies to realize successful completion of assigned projects 
  • Works with cross-functional teams to identify SMEs and determine project deliverables 

 

Collaboration and Liaison

  • Champions cross-functional collaboration from onset through completion by facilitating workshops, planning sessions, meetings and working forums to drive clarity, alignment, and shared ownership.
  • Leads meetings with the project team and third-party professionals in order to document action items and deliverables; tracks and manages action items and holds individuals or groups accountable for meeting deadlines. 
  • Produces status updates and reports; monitors and reports on status and progress with succinct communication of areas of success, opportunities and barriers 
  • Maintains team engagement and focus to ensure collective execution on critical strategic milestones.

 

Strategic Planning

  • Facilitates alignment across teams to maintain focus on critical strategic priorities and ensure collective execution of key milestones
  • Assesses organizational capacity, leadership availability, and interdependencies to sequence initiatives effectively and reduce execution risk
  • Takes a proactive approach to identify, understand and mitigate risks; resolves issues affecting implementation and escalates issues requiring higher-level review, as necessary 

 

Leadership Enablement

  • Serves as a strategic advisor to the Customer Organization leadership team, offering recommendations and data driven insights
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in program management, strategy execution, and change leadership within the Customer Organization
  • Provides structure, tools, and guidance that enable leaders and teams to execute more effectively against strategic priorities
  • Continuously evaluate program outcomes and organizational processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Uses discretion for matters that require confidentiality and the attention of leadership 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven knowledge of strategic planning, portfolio management, and enterprise execution frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with senior leader engagement.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and stakeholder influence skills, with the ability to align diverse perspectives.
  • Strong change management acumen and ability to drive adoption of new processes and ways of working.
  • Ability to assess organizational capacity, prioritize initiatives, and navigate competing demands.
  • High degree of business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into measurable results.
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Jira, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge and understanding of budget and financial practices 
  • Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with; always going above and beyond to help others out, regardless of their position or department. 

 

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in program, project, or portfolio management within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior and executive leaders to execute enterprise-level strategies.
  • Prior experience supporting Corporate Strategy initiatives and multi-year transformation programs strongly preferred.
  • PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

 

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation

  • Base: $117,000 to $145,000 USD annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
