JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting sales activities for customers and Field Sales while promoting quality and excellent customer service; contacting new and existing customers to discuss their needs and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services.  

 

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS 

  • Develop new sales opportunities through lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. 

  • Understand customer needs and requirements. 

  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate team member for further development and closure. 

  • Close sales and achieve quarterly objectives. 

  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest in Viega product and services. 

  • Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory. 

  • Team with outside sales to build pipeline and close deals. 

  • Geographical coverage of areas not directly covered by Field Sales 

  • Contacts customer following a sale to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction; resolves any issues, discrepancies, or complaints. 

  • Actively solicits additional business. 

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word/Excel, Power Point, Business Warehouse and Customer Relations Management software 

  • Excellent customer service skills 

  • Problem solving and analytical skills 

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills 

  • Ability to multi-task 

  • Ability to perform business math 

  • Ability to work independently with some supervision 

 

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • AND  
  • 2-4 years related customer service and sales experience
