Logistics Process Analyst I

Job Description Summary

The Logistics Process Analyst I is responsible for leading and supporting Logistics Managers in the Distribution Centers (DC) and Traffic by gathering, analyzing and reporting customer complaint information, conducting root cause analysis, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, facilitating corrective and preventative actions, as well as supporting the DC cycle count programs end to end.

 

What You'll Do:

Quality and Customer Satisfaction

  • Focus on individual quality improvement and maintain highest quality standards to ensure the customer receives all orders correct, on time, and as requested.
  • Follow up on and monitor complaints to ensure data and reporting accuracy.
  • Perform basic analysis of Quality and Logistics data to facilitate improvement by identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports on Logistics PPM.
  • Lead teams within a DC to discuss and solve quality and process improvements.
  • Partner with Logistics Process team members to discuss customer complaints and inventory/cycle count discrepancies in aggregate, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and develop solutions to be applied across the network.
  • Correct and record Technical errors from manufacturing and vendors.
  • Applies quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Proactive Damage Control – Work toward error proofing, recognizing problems before they happen; communicate and notify supervisor of potential problems and help to eliminate the opportunity for future problems while maintaining proper communication channels

Auditing

  • Perform 6S audit quarterly for DC; identify areas for improvement; communicate to DC leadership team; measure improvements.
  • Conduct internal audits of cycle count process and drive improvement of processes to improve overall inventory accuracy

Inventory Control

  • Responsible for administering DC’s scheduled cycle count program.
  • Must be able to perform cycle counting with extreme accuracy.
  • Audit compliance of DC personnel counting technique.
  • Perform and verify cycle counts as directed by our WMS and Leadership team.
  • Investigate and trouble shoot all inventory discrepancies. Develop and implement corrective action to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Expedite resolution of inventory issues related to outbound order completion.
  • Assure that location organization (both physically and in the WMS) is conducive to inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Other

  • Strong speaking, writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and make crucial decisions.
  • Ability to move from task to task without supervision or instruction.
  • Extensive knowledge of WMS and specific SAP functions for designated tasks.
  • Must be a proficient multitasker who balances daily tasks and long-term goals.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • Maintains clean work environment; may perform 5S activities (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain) to organize and manage distribution center.
  • Drive lean and continuous workflow improvement, various quality tasks, etc.
  • Demonstrate reliability and good work ethic in all aspects of the job
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge and skill with Microsoft Excel (macros, formulas, pivot tables, vLookups, etc).
  • Excellent knowledge and skill with other computer programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, CRM, SAP and Wiki.
  • Basic knowledge of math, including simple statistics in order to analyze data.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control and quality management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of process mapping and process improvement.
  • Basic awareness of Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of related experience and/or proficiency in all related tasks
  • ASQ Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) preferred
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred
  • Warehouse Management Systems experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation

  • Base: $49,000 - $63,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
