Job Summary

The Residential Sales Manager leads development of residential business objectives in support of corporate business objectives and brand strategy. Responsible for all aspects of managing Independent Rep Agencies. Provides direction and objective coaching; administers residential budget, manages expenditures. Develops business relationships with key wholesalers, builders, and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, selects, trains, motivates, reviews, coaches, develops, and retains a high-performance independent rep network.
  • Meets regularly with team to discuss goals, strategies, and objectives; monitors overall performance and provides direction and objective coaching as needed.
  • Implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and regional/intra-departmental communications; maintains managerial relationships by encouraging and providing a timely, two-way flow of information between management, rep agencies and user groups.
  • Motivates rep agencies to improve quality of work performed and provides training and development opportunities as needed.
  • Responsible for full general management of the region including budget management, customer relationship management, and independent rep hiring/mentoring/directing.
  • Responsible for delivering the annual sales plan for the Region.
  • Reporting to senior management at regular intervals on progress to the annual sales plan for the Region.
  • Focus on hitting sales targets by product lines and new points of distribution.
  • Develops and implements marketing/sales and account strategies in accordance with corporate goals; implements plans for strategic accounts within specified region to exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty.
  • Develops, strategizes, plans, and maintains business relationships with key wholesalers, key builders, and key contractors; works with cross-functional teams to cultivate long-term relationships with key regional account decision makers; develops a complete understanding of the organization's structure and key buying influences of assigned accounts.
  • Creates and reviews monthly reports to assist in targeting specific accounts, regions, or product categories.
  • Will be required to travel up to 50% of the time.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, MapPoint, CRM and BW
  • Experienced with budget preparation and allocation
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, for both in-person and virtual audiences.
  • Excellent business, decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Solid organization and time management skills
  • Advanced selling and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability and flexibility to adapt to different situations, candidates, and environments
  • Proven ability to train, lead and motivate a high functioning team
  • Ability to maintain and develop business relationships
  • Ability to work independently with self-motivation and drive for results

 

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • 8 – 10 years of progressive sales experience
  • 5 years of experience managing people
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

 

Total Rewards Package

Compensation

  • Base: $73,000.00-$110,000.00 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
