This role will be based primarily in Washing D.C. The territory will be from Southern Marlyland to Northern Viginia. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Sales Representative is responsible for providing sales coverage to assigned wholesale distributor branch locations. This individual will ensure sales and marketing strategies and promotions are implemented with assigned accounts and assists with the execution of planned sales and marketing activities at wholesaler locations, including counter-days and product demonstration and maintenance of point-of-purchase displays. Responsible for implementing sales and account strategies and achieving results in metro area. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Responsibilities 

  • Onboard and introduce new products to assigned wholesale distributor branch locations. 

  • Accountable for product trainings, demonstrations, counter days, trade shows, and lead management.  

  • Support wholesalers to maintain inventories. 

  • Manage and track the distribution of loaner tools. 

  • Drives adoption of EDI and VMI by distributors. 

  • Executes regional and corporate objectives. 

  • Increase market growth for contractors and distributors. 

  • Secure new business relationships and support current customers. 

  • Responsibility for maintaining accurate reporting and metrics. 

  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and relationship building skills. 

  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and public speaking. 

  • Self-motivated; able to function autonomously and as a team player  

  • Ability to interpret and forecast changes in wholesaler buying patterns and product requirements 

  • Knowledge of computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP and CRM. 

  

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • College Degree strongly preferred  
  • 2 years product sales experience preferred 
  • Valid and Active Driver’s License required 
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time. 

 

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

 

Total Rewards Package: 

Compensation: 

  • Base: $82,000 - $92,000 annually (CO), based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market. 
  • This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
