JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for ongoing support maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Internal Audit Program, External Audit Tracking, Product Compliance and records for Viega LLC; including, but not limited to the ISO 9001 QMS, and Global Quality Systems. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and locations to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement at all levels. The position requires advanced knowledge in quality management and auditing. The role has decision-making authority and influence over policy creation and strategic planning.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Quality Management System

  • Leads the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS); ensures compliance with current regulations.
  • Leads the monitoring and reporting on all QMS activities, processes, and procedure across Viega LLC.
  • Leads the development and education of training others to create forms, documents, process flows, plant standards, testing descriptions and work instructions based on ISO 9001 standards.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives of QMS and Product Compliance processes and documents across the organization.
  • Develop and enhance the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001 standards and identify gaps that exist with the existing QMS processes and develop action plans to bridge those gaps.
  • Manage and coordinate document and record control systems (Computer Aided Quality Systems), QMS activities, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Manage and facilitate External Audits with Functional Support leaders and designees, conducts verification of completed, corrective and preventive actions across Viega LLC.
  • Manages the development of company policies, processes, and procedures.  Providing departments with quality planning, conduct regulatory training and support related to quality standards.
  • Facilitates and maintains quality management documentation to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and QMS.

 

Auditing

  • Manages and facilitates the execution of the internal system audit program in collaboration with ISO Manager; coordinate external process, product, traceability, and audits.
  • Develops and facilitates the review of audit results and facilitates audit planning, including the creation of audit checklists, reports, audit action plans and other associated audit documentation.
  • Drives the enhancement auditing tools, analyze relevant data from auditing programs and determining data-driven solutions to implementing quality improvement plans.

 

Other

  • Reports non-conformance issues to proper personnel; communicates with various personnel any issues relating to quality.
  • Supports quality projects and improvement workshops as needed and/or required.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

 

Special  Job Dimensions

  • May be required to travel up to 25% of the time.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced  knowledge and skill with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Knowledge of math and statistics in order to compute measurements and perform studies
  • Knowledge of quality control and management systems
  • Knowledge of process mapping and process improvement
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to lead others

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or 10 plus years of equivalent experience required
  • 5-7 years of related work experience with internal auditing of regulatory and/or quality systems
  • 5-7 years of Quality experience supervising and training direct reports
  • 5-7 Root Cause Analysis, CAPA investigation, and Risk Analysis
  • RCA & CAPA Investigations, Risk Analysis
  • Internal Audit Certification
  • Trained in 6S Principles
  • Knowledge of Product Compliance
  • ASQ CQIA Certificate, preferred
  • Green Belt Trained, preferred
