Training Lead, Manufacturing

The Role: The Manufacturing Training Lead is responsible for training, qualification, and upskilling activities within the manufacturing department. This role plays a key part in aligning training with the organization’s established standards and processes. The Manufacturing Training Lead role ensures that technical training initiatives meet the needs of the workforce and support the continuous improvement process by conducting qualifications, training sessions, and creating training material contents.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Training Program Ambassador: Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technical training for manufacturing employees. Ensure training material is up to date and aligns with company objectives and industry standards.
- Coaching: Provide coaching and guidance to new and existing employees during training and qualification periods. Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure effective delivery of training programs.
- Curriculum Development / Maintenance: Design and update training curricula, materials, and manuals tailored for various roles within the manufacturing process. Ensure content is relevant, up-to-date, and engaging. Ensure updates are made to training materials in a timely manner, as needed.
- Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, ensuring that employees receive the support needed to meet the learning objectives. Provide hands-on training as needed.
- Compliance and Safety: Highlight the importance of consistently adhering to safety procedures when training employees. Integrate safety and compliance procedures into training and coaching practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the training team, production staff, employees, and subject matter experts to integrate training with broader operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in manufacturing training by utilizing new methods and technologies to enhance training effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong training and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust communication depending on the target audience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to develop strong instructional content.
- Understanding manufacturing processes, safety regulations, quality and industry best practices.
- Ability to implement and facilitate training sessions.
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of cross-functional job experience within the manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
- 2+ years of experience in a training role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and familiarity with production systems, equipment, and safety protocols withing a manufacturing setting.

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $55,157 - $68,892 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
