Engineering Intern

The Engineering Intern will design, assist in integration of, and support improvement in manufacturing systems and processes through technical expertise to help ensure quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness. The intern will develop practical skills given theoretical knowledge. Internship will include one major design implementation and presentation.
What You'll Do:
Engineering
- Research for new or existing production problems involving designs, materials, processes, or tooling.
- Identify opportunities and/or propose changes to improve manufacturing processes or products to reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
- Complete one design implementation/idea and conduct a presentation at the end of internship.
- Develop working understanding of current manufacturing industry processes and engineering techniques.
Other
- Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Engineering and Technology
- Knowledge of Practical application of Engineering principles/ techniques/ procedures relative to area of support.
- Knowledge of Design techniques (GD&T), Tools, and Principles involved in developing precise technical plans, Models, Drawings and Blueprints
- Knowledge of Advanced Mathematics and applications
- Knowledge of CAD software including CATIA, Solid Works 2015, AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- Pursuing degree in Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Technology with 2 years of course work completed.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $21.00 - $25.00 hourly, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
