Calibration Engineer

The Calibration Engineer is responsible for supporting the calibration, inspection and maintenance of gauges and measuring equipment to ensure compliance with company and ISO standards. This position performs and documents calibration activities, troubleshoots equipment issues, and maintains accurate calibration records. The role works under general supervision and supports audits, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement efforts related to calibration processes.
What You'll Do:
- Support the Technician by inspecting, performing, and documenting calibrations according to company policies and procedures.
- Keep equipment operating within specified ranges according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of calibrations and product changes.
- Assure that equipment is calibrated and maintained according to ISO, government, and safety regulations.
- Maintain calibration documentation ensuring its status, accuracy and accessibility during an audit.
- Assist in tracking calibration status of all measuring and critical manufacturing equipment as required.
- Verify the completion of calibration test records, check reports on calibration failures and ensure that calibration activities are performed in a professional and efficient manner to minimize equipment and/or line down time.
- Supports calibration activities with external vendors under direction of the Lab Supervisor.
- Ensure with the technician to resolve calibration issues with accuracy of measurement and compliance with specifications.
- Regular User in the applicable systems (i.e.: CAQ)
- Ensures calibration documentation is properly maintained and audit-ready.
- Perform internal audits as needed.
- Applies established calibration practices and standards.
- Assist management through change and transformation activities including new facility startups, as well as working in teams to assist with gauge acquisition for new production lines.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, which includes troubleshooting equipment failures and conducting repairs.
- Assist other departments with gauge acquisition to ensure future calibration goals.
- Facilitate all common calibration procedures within the organization to ensure alignment with Quality Management System and compliance requirements.

What We're Looking For:
- Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in a manufacturing technical or related field.
- 1-3 years of calibration or quality control experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic troubleshooting and attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Exposure to calibration systems (e.g., CAQ) preferred.
- Solid experience using Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $60,736 - $83,513 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
