Tooling Technician I - 3rd Shift

Job Description Summary
The Tooling Technician I is responsible for preparation and assembly of tooling for scheduled production runs; post production run cleaning and visual inspection of tooling; Preventative maintenance of tooling; Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment.
What You'll Do:
Production
- Responsible for preparation and assembly of tooling for scheduled production runs.
- Balance production schedule with available time to ensure all tooling is ready for production on time.
- After a production order is complete, responsible for cleaning the tooling, visually inspecting the tooling for any damage, communicating any tooling issues to leadership, and putting tooling away.
- Work with leadership on a daily basis to ensure all necessary tooling is available for production and any issues are communicated and addressed in a timely manner. (Help achieve production schedule goals.)
- Capable of installing tooling in machines and basic material processing functions as needed.
- Answer alarms on Machines when needed.
Quality and Recordkeeping
- Process and control any non-conformance defects with production parts.
- Update and maintain necessary documentation.
Cleaning and Area Upkeep
- Perform the 5S activities (sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain) to organize and manage work stations.
- Ensure tooling is put away in the proper location.
- Manage the organization of tooling in the appropriate storage area.
Other
- Attend operational and safety meetings as required.
- Perform other tasks as required or assign.

- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Experience in SAP

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AND
- 3-5 years manufacturing experience
