Human Resources Intern

Performs a variety of administrative support duties associated with our Human Resources department and Apprenticeship program. Will sit with each People Team staff member to learn each job function within the Human Resource department, assist with projects and assist our People Team and Apprenticeship Program Manager with our Summer Camp.  



Job Duties

  • Summer Camp Administrative Support
  • Support development of social media presence for summer program
  • People team rotation:
    • Recruiting
    • Employee Relations
    • Training & Support functions
  • Project work:
    • Interview support for our temp and direct hire needs
    • Temp agency invoice process development/transition
    • Skills team process development
    • Establish key HR SOP’s


  • Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet
  • Knowledge of office practices
  • 10-key skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to carry out basic instructions in written and verbal form
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
  • Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve problems
  • Ability to appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential materials/matters with the highest level of discretion

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
  • AND
  • Minimum 6 months of related office and/or human resource experience
