Responsible for performing quality inspections of manufactured products; ensuring product quality meets company’s regulations and standards; trains and assists Quality Inspector Trainee with questions and inspections as needed
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Quality Inspection
- Perform quality inspections up to four times per shift for both dimensional and cosmetic check of manufactured products; ensure products quality meets company’s regulations and standards; enter dimensional and cosmetic data into Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) software utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformation to specifications, using measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, gauges, and micrometers, etc.
- Inspect the quality of raw materials received from suppliers utilizing visual checks and Incoming Goods Control (IGC) module.
- Work independently and is cross functional inspecting both extrusion and molding products for quality standards.
- Train and assist Quality Inspector Trainee.
Record Keeping and Reporting
- Record inspection or tests data such as weights, temperature, grade, or moisture content, and quantity inspected or graded; mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
- Document inspection results utilizing written reports and electronic data entry; maintain necessary files and records for quality control inspections and other related documentation.
- Report non-conformance issues to proper personnel; communicate with various personnel issues relating to quality.

- Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of computer software Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and Access
- Ability to be detail oriented in terms of evaluating documenting and adhering to specified procedures
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining high quality control
- Ability to organize and prioritize work

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related work experience
