EHS Coordinator I

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The EHS Coordinator I is the point of contact for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)-related activities associated with tracking and claims management of safety incidents and injuries; including investigations, guiding the reporting process, and tracking corrective actions through completion. This position is also involved with EHS program maintenance, documentation of training, metrics, and trend reporting.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities
- Provides support and training to supervisors and coordinators regarding the reporting and management of EHS policies and procedures.
- Serve as point of contact for EHS department and assist in the routing and tracking or needed actions for the site.
- Contributes to EHS Department trainings and communications.
- Maintains EHS training calendar and records.
- Develop or update contents of these trainings and presentations and contributing to other communications sent by EHS Department.
- Coordinates EHS meetings and meeting actions.
- Provides support to all employees in any EHS matter by acting as technical and procedural resource.
- Orders various safety supplies using the purchasing system or company credit card.
- Helps to manage and maintains EHS files (electronic and hard copy).
- May attend trade shows and participates in professional safety-related associations in order to maintain a current body of knowledge that may be incorporated into the workplace.

What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Solid knowledge of records maintenance skills.
- Solid knowledge of computer use and applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Solid knowledge of and management of workers’ compensation claims process.
- Basic knowledge of project management in order to establish timelines for various projects.
- Basic knowledge of report writing and maintenance of statistical records.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse organization.
- Ability to work with limited supervision to complete assignments.
- Ability handle with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to feel comfortable in presenting information before groupings of employees.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial safety processes
- Ability to measure and communicate site and company metrics related to WC or EHS.
- Ability to plan, and then be flexible within that plan
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- High school degree or GED is required;
- Associate’s degree is preferred; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in Workers Compensation, EHS or technical trade.

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $19.00 - $23.00 hourly, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
