JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Environmental, Health & Safety (“EHS”) Lead is responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and programs that protect the health and safety of employees while minimizing the environmental impact of operations. Through subject matter expertise, this role ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and fosters a proactive culture of safety within the organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
- Ensure facility compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and permits.
- Conduct regular workplace, machinery, and facility inspections to identify potential hazards and evaluate risk, including building and maintaining a site-specific risk registry.
- Implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Waste Management).
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver safety training to employees, including onboarding, OSHA compliance training, and emergency response procedures and security requirements.
- Manage hazardous waste programs, including collection, storage, and disposal; monitor environmental conditions and pollution control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of metric reporting, training, incidents, inspections.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, including fire safety and evacuation drills.
- Support EHS projects, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
- Serves as the backup point of contact for all EHS and the main point of conduct for all local emergency issues.
- Provides coaching, training, and mentoring of EHS Specialists and Coordinators as well as other line managers and supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with all levels of employees at the site to establish and maintain a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct periodic compliance/management system audits and self-assessments at the site to ensure compliance with EHS and specific regulatory requirements.
- Support the integration of EHS processes and safe work practices into daily operations.
- Interface directly with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders, as assigned.
- Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
- Willingness to travel as needed and the flexibility to support multiple shifts as necessary.

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $75,965-$99,704 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
