Job Description Summary

The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for supporting marketing initiatives for the Viega North America brand. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, recommend solutions and implement programming to drive the business.

 

Job Description Details

  • Lead, develop, and execute national and regional marketing plans.
  • Build a deep understanding of our target audience (Wholesalers, Contractors, etc.).
  • Provide strategic direction to the internal design team and external agency network (includes writing creative briefs, evaluating programs and creative, and problem-solving).
  • Analyze mid and post-program data and recommend/implement changes to optimize programming. Collaborate with Customer Market Insights team to propose and complete the research needed.
  • Understand current business performance; develop strategies and recommend investments to support and unlock growth for our four verticals (Commercial, Industrial, Residential and Marine).
  • Collaborate with Counter Marketing Manager to execute distributor-specific campaigns.
  • Proactively share results with key stakeholders.
  • Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
  • Will be required to travel up to 25% of the time.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong business acumen, understand the P&L and how marketing metrics relate to financial performance, be able to recommend investments based on business fundamentals and marketing principles.
  • Ability to provide strategic direction for the program and creative development including briefing, program, and creative review.
  • Understanding of advertising claims and ability to evaluate risk.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing and effectively present in front of customers.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders, engage and enlist support from, and build trust with, other functions
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to gather and interpret data, turning data into insights and insights into action plans. Ability to find alternative data sources when data is not available
  • Ability to solve problems and execute innovative solutions
  • Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Bilingual in English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages preferred

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing required
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • 5-7 years of related professional experience required
  • 2+ years in a general management function (e.g. brand or product management) and 2+ years in a marketing role required
  • Experience leading multi-million-dollar advertising campaigns (mix of on/offline tactics) preferred
  • Trades/Industry experience preferred

  • Base Salary is based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
