Our products and solutions are designed to conserve energy and actively contribute to climate protection. We’re committed to making sustainable building a reality, not just a vision for the future.
To build more sustainably as a society, we need reliable data to guide our decisions. That’s why we’ve assessed the environmental impact of most of our product portfolio and made the results transparent through Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

Our product portfolio includes over 17,000 articles, used across a wide range of sectors - from buildings and industrial facilities to shipbuilding and supply technology. Many of these applications involve sensitive areas such as drinking water systems, where safety and reliability are paramount.
A significant portion of our products is already fully certified with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and certification is actively underway for many others. These EPDs provide transparent insights into the environmental impact of each product and are available in our international product catalogue.

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
Stopping climate change and mitigating its effects requires collective action. At Viega, we have set ourselves clear targets by following two key paths:
- Increasing energy efficiency, especially in production
- Switching to renewable energy sources
Moving away from fossil fuels means moving toward renewable energy - and greater independence. That’s the mission behind Viega Energy, a program led by our Corporate Strategy team with ambitious objectives. Sustainability starts at the product development stage. Whenever possible, we use recycled materials to reduce our ecological footprint. Jennifer Hausmann shares her experience in developing pre-wall & drainage solutions.

Our success starts with our people. We strive to create a culture of respect, collaboration, and meaningful work where everyone feels included.
The Viega Group employs over 5,500 people worldwide, most of them in Germany and the USA. We know that balancing work and private life can sometimes be challenging and want to support our employees as best we can. We promote a self-determined approach to working and a healthy work-life balance through flexible working time models and - wherever the area of responsibility allows - the option of mobile working. Fair pay is also important to us: the IG Metall collective labor agreement applies at our German sites. The working conditions for the remainder of the workforce are based on the legal standards and standards that are usual in the industry in the respective countries.
We are also committed to paying a living wage to all staff employed directly worldwide - regardless of location, role or type of employment. A living wage provides the employee with a decent standard of living and is above the statutory minimum wage, based on the regional cost of living and international standards. Viega regularly reviews compliance with these standards and reports transparently on progress in the annual sustainability report.

As an employer, we want our employees not only to feel comfortable, but also to realize their full potential. Our aim is to establish and nurture long-term working relationships. The average length of service is 11 years, reflecting our commitment to ensuring the long-term loyalty of employees.
